Black Obsidian is the result of volcanic lava coming in contact with water. Often the lava pours into a lake or ocean and is cooled quickly. This process produces a glassy texture in the resulting rock.

Obsidian dissolves emotional blockages and ancient traumas, bringing a depth and clarity to the emotions. It promotes compassion and strength. It has an enlivening effect and brings hidden inner images to light.
Obsidian bestows an unimagined depth, on your  emotional nature and helps with any type of obsession. It purifies the atmosphere of negative spiritual influences and serves as a protection against psychic attacks. 
​Obsidian is a strongly protective stone, forming a shield against emotional negativity. It grounds you to the earth through the base chakra and strengthens you in times of need. It is helpful to highly sensitive people​. It blocks psychic attack and removes negative spiritual influences.

Crystal tip: Sphere signifying heaven luck and completion. A sphere made of natural crystal, usually is an expensive gem product because they waste a lot of material to make it, but the energy is stronger and circulate all around. It is also very powerful to hold it during your meditation for healing energy and spiritual growth.

Cleansing and charging:  Wash it under the tap water once a week. An easy cleansing is the incense stick, (once in a week or in ten days) you can find it here on my shop and charge it with the full moon. (4 times per year or as you feel) You may charge with the sun but in my country Cyprus and Greece we have strong sun and will change the color. (Never charge on a sun or full moon eclipse)
